after performing speed test on R7 and also my Samsung SG4 under the same isp I received 24.96mps download on my sg4 and here we go... 4.20 on my R7. Something definitely wrong with this picture

Okay got my 3rd replacement today

- spacebar works as expected

-- guess what Wi-Fi has same issue , unless I sit right next to my router I get < 1MBPS,  all my other laptops gets 10 to 11MBPS

What the heck oh my God, I really want to scream and throw this out of my window. I thought they get rid of Brodcom , still it has Brodcom wifi adopter

Frustrated, ask a computer shop what they will charge for a good Wi-Fi card.

Repeating . i Bought an wifi N USB adapter. Still doesn't work well a room away from router UNLESS you put a 4ft USB cord in front of it, then it works great. Obviously some interference issue inside. In case u have to, this works... **bleep** ugly but it did work. amazon about 30 bucks plus 5 for a cord. Could be the Bluetooth or shielding problem or something... It's a shame . Spacebar issue helped with a wrist pad gets your thumb to the top vs front edge of keyboard... Yet I'm leaning toward the yoga at this point...

Its is truly a shame Acer put us through this

Everyone should report this to the BBB and the BBB

THey are judt not addressing these issues

Now   First make sure your adaptor is working

and download any drivers that comes with it

I bought an n router adaptor 900 through link sys

click on settings

click on little icon for wireless

It will show a wireless 2 setting and click on that to auto connect

Put in your passcode

I got speeds of 1 without the adaptor. This is a joke

I now get speeds of 30 with my 50 dollar adaptor from wallmart

Maybe Acer has stock in adaptors

Formatted hard drive to remove windows8.

Installed all win 8 drivers onto win7.

Bluetooth and wifi driver only one that doesn't work.

Eventually installed 5.60.18.8 broadcom driver and then discovered problems with both BT and WiFi services running together - would loose either or both together, problem resolved by changing WiFi channel and now all functions are running fine.

Soooo just got my 3rd replacment unit from acer ..... SNID 321 the same as my first and second units ... same problem .. wifi ... I guss ill just use my USB adaptor and live with it !! Sorry acer but this is the last thing am buying from you guys ! am done

another thing ... is htere any reason my laotop does not show that my USB Flash Drive is in ?? i need to use some files on my USB but i cant find it ?? this is on my new unit .. the old one works fine ??
