Hi.  Thanks in advance for any help/advice recieved...

I have had my ASpire2930 for 3 years without incident.  I deployed to afghanistan 2 weeks ago and today when I connect my charger the blue charging LED has been going out and the circle LED surrounding the on button is blinking orange and pink.   I didn't even know there WAS a pink LED in there so I am obviously a bit concerned.  Also... it is only intermittently charging.

Can anyone tell me.. 1) What does the flasking pink and orange signify?  2) What action do I need to take?

Hi Volatile1

I hadn't heard of the light flashing orange and pink, so I Googled it. Apparently, it is either a problem with the battery or the charger itself.

To find out, remove battery from laptop & plug in charger. If the laptop powers up & runs normally, then it is the battery at fault. If it fails to start, or it shuts down, then it will be the charger.
