I have an acer aspire with an atheros wireless card. I am at a hotel and I have tried everything to connect to their wireless network. I have an hp pavillon that connects fine. the router at the desk is an unsecured network so it connects up there. However there is a secured router that services my room. It will not connect in room. Help Please. I have tried everything! I need this computer because it is my main one.

Atheros recently released a set of new drivers for many platforms. So probably there are some conectivity issues that can be solved with the new drivers. Have you tried updating your wifi driver?
