Hi I have an Acer Aspire 3680 I want to plug in a large external monitor like 19200 x1024 resolution.

However when I look at display settings it only goes up to 1368x768

What causes that limitation is it memory, and if so, what memory Video memory or the main core memory.

Please please help am in desperate situation

Plug in the large monitor and your control panel settings for the new monitor will change to reflect the new monitor. OK!

Please note you may need new drivers for the monitor to work properlly

I also recommend you bump the main memory up from 4Gb to 6B

That is all you need to do.
