New Battery Not recognised - Acer Aspire S3

Hi All,

Recently changed my internal battery, only to find that the computer does not recognise the new battery.
The battery part number, voltage, amp hours etc. are all the same.
I have attempted to reset the battery as per instructions and also bumped charged the battery, all to no avail.
Any other recommendations?

Welcome aboard, Dan. Can you tell us why you changed the battery and give us the complete model number of your laptop? Can you also give us the complete model number and manufacturer of both batteries?
