Hi everyone, I made this account specifically to resolve this problem.

I have my Acer Aspire M5100 that I am looking to restore. 

I do not have the original CD's to do this that the desktop came with. I have tried pressing Alt + F10 on the startup but that doesn't work.

I tried pressing 'del' on the startup and it takes me to a screen with the option to "load default settings." Is that going to factory restore? If not, do I need to get a CD?

that will restore defaults in BIOS, not on hard drive
