Hello!
So I got a new ultrabook not so long ago (Acer Aspire S7) and during those past few days, the WiFi has been acting a bit weird. It connects to the internet, works okay for a while (10 mins) and then stops working ("limited connectivity"). I need to disconnect it and reconnect for it to work again. The connection works fine with other laptops, and this happens at home (secured connection) and at university (unprotected connection).
Any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks!
PS: I just went to the Device Manager and chose my wireless driver and chose to uninstall the latest driver and to go back to the initial driver. It seems that a new one was installed on the 3rd with the Live Updated - not sure if this is the cause but we'll see. I'll keep this post updated.

Well the S7 does not have an updated Driver at this time so the issue could be with the connection itself. The best thing to try would be to try and reset the connection. Unplug the modem/router and leave it unplugged for about 15 seconds then plug them in and wait for them to reconnect and see if this may resolve the issue. Also uninstalling the driver was a good start that may also ressolve the issue with the internet issue. Hope al goes well

I had the same problem. This is an unacceptable drawback for a latest ultrabook.

I think there was an update with the drivers on the 3rd but again I'm not sure. The problem is fixed now that. Went to the Device Manager, Network Adaptors, right click on the wireless driver, properties, driver tab, rolll back driver.
I'll post if it starts bugging again, but it seems to work okay for now.

Hi,
Can you please advise what version S7 you have. Is it the S7-191 or S7-391?

I have the same problem but the roll back driver option in wireless device is gray out. I cannot roll back, I installed Wireless LAN_Atheros_10.0.0.217_W8x64_A from acer website yestersday and the problem starts happening. What should i do?

I download the latest driver to S7.
uninstall the wireless driver by removing the wireless application under add/remove program.
reboot S7
install the latest driver
reboot S7
that fixed the problem
