Hi,
I've just taken delivery of a new Aspire V3-571G. Am having troubel with the touchpad. It is erratic, to say the least.
Have installed the latest elantec touchpad drivers but doesn't seem to make much difference. Wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to cure this damnable problem

you could disassemble the laptop and reconnect+clean the touchpad from the inside

I don't know about that model, but my Dell laptop gets a little eratic when my skin is dry.
I solve that by licking my index finger when I'm using the touch pad. That makes a noticeable improvement.
