My hard drive is down, I want to replace it, I will need the code key for window 7

I have a laptop acer 5745-7247 my hard drive is down I have seen a video and I feel I can replace the drive myself,I own windows 7 even though the computer is down ,how do I get the code key to down load win. 7 when I finish installing the hard drive. Currently I am getting information Such as prices, parts and how to do it. I am watching videos on the net. The quotes I have gotten to have the work done, are more then the cost of the compute and the insurance I brought for it. I don't know if this is the right place to look for help staples has been a big disappointment so far.

Actually, if you have your restore disks, you do not need the product code for your OS. If you do not have them, you can order them at store.acer.com.
