My Xerox orinter won't print text. It sends commands but prints blank pages. The same for the old HP

Since purchase of the new ACER laptop with windows 8 I can't print. The printers send blank pages soa re recieving commands but no text appears on the page. Troubleshooting says no problems.

Any help out there?

Verify that you have the Windows 8 printer drivers. Go to the printer manufacturer sites and download the applicable drivers.
