My desktop turns on; I can hear the fans running but my monitor says no signal. If I unplug the monitor from the desktop it says cable not connected. Once I have powered on the computer and I try to force shut it down it does not turn off I have to unplug it. I just replaced the power supply and it was working fine and now Im not sure what happened.

That means you do not hqve the right port connection from the machine to monitor

you have to explor by changing the plug connection, and one of those will work.

I have tried changing the cable and even trying a different monitor and I still get the same message. What should I do?
