We shipped several different processors in the Aspire X1200 series.
It appears from which processors we shipped that the board only supports AM2, not AM2+.
I would infer that you are attempting to upgrade the processor in the system.
Please understand that the BIOS available for the unit may not support processors that did not ship on the system series.
