Iconia A1 touchscreen low sensitivity problem.

I got an Iconia A1 today. I'm really happy with it.
But one thing annoying me is touchscreen. Touchscreen sensitivity is very low.
It needs very hard press to start app or drag around. It is normally of A1 or it my hardware fault ?
Or any touchscreen sensitivity option that I didn't found ?

Re: Iconia A1 touchscreen low sensitivity problem.

I'm from Thailand and I found other user here have the same problem.
This problem may be a common problem of this model.
But I can't find any way to report to Acer :smileysad:

If you using Iconia A1-810 please share you experience.

Re: Iconia A1 touchscreen low sensitivity problem.

I have the same problem. It's not that bad when i'm using fingers to control my tablet, but I would like to use stylus sometimes... i have tried three of them and they just doesn't work at all...

I really hope there will be some update which can handle this problem as soon as possible

System Update downloaded a fix on 3rd July '13 for this touchscreen issue.

Settings/About tablet/Device Information/Touch FW Version now at FTO-850-13032500.

Can someone check their Touch FW Version for comparison?

Thnx all who posted here and helped get ACER's attention.

How to check and compare the FW (firmware).

Are the FW launch from ACER?

After Software Update has completed the fix download, i think the A1 rebooted and then the Android robot was on screen while various pieces of software were updated; it was 68 or 69 pieces of software before the update was all done.

(The battery should not be near empty so the update can finish; power cable connection during updates is safer)

Click on Settings app (squarish button with 3 horizontal sliders) to locate 'About tablet' etc.

Ok... I'll check the tablet when i'll come back home. It starts the update on 7.30 this morning and the robot android was still working at 8.40.

Otherwise i'll go for an hard reset as Acer live chat support suggest me!!!

Re: Iconia A1 touchscreen low sensitivity problem.

Ok... good news: all solved!

After the tablet battery go completely down i connect the external power; after few minutes i restart pressing volume up and then power for two seconds: the tablet restart normally notifying me the error installing the update.

I wait for battery more than 30% and restart the update but now with the external power connected: i think this is  a necessary condition to have a good update.

After the update, android restart applying 130 changes!
