Re: I have a new Acer Iconia W510 tablet. I frequently lose audio sound and have to reboot. How to

Same issue for me here too. This is a common problem that Acer needs to fix, it's extremely annoying, and if they don't fix it soon I will probably never purchase another Acer product. I've owned many Acer's and loved most of them but recently the cheap materials, and software issues have made me steer clear of them. I've done everything I can to fix the issue and the only thing that will resolve it is a reboot. I've tried reinstalling the driver/ removing, then installing driver. Played with settings related to driver in sounds, and device manager. Restored the entire system with the provided disc, and installed a fresh copy of Windows 8 from a fully formatted SSD using my own disc. Not a single thing has worked. If they don't fix it soon I will be taking it back, saving my money, and getting a Samsung Ativ or something better. I love this tablet, but if I can't rely on a $600 item, then I'll get something that I can rely on.

Now I think it's a driver problem --- I turned off audio hardware acceleration and I have no problem with sound for one week already.

Hardware acceleration removal did not fix the problem. Can we have an official statement?

Iconia w510 bought 15th december. Every driver/bios updates has been done.

Well. same issue with the sound : it goes down very often (only a shutdown - power up will make the sound come back). I hope Acer team will get back to this problem after their vacations :smileyhappy:
