How can I boot Acer Aspire S3 from a USB flash drive?

Since you never got a reply, let me provide some information about my similar issue

S3-951-6432

Came with Windows 7 now running windows 8 pro

OS on USB - fedora 17 x86-64 live

Created with LiveUSB Creator (bootable FAT 32 partition)

This USB boots on any other x86_64 system.

Won't boot on the S3-951.

I see the USB stick from the bootmenu (F12), I can select it, but it boots into windows 8.
