If it will boot I would open file explorer, highlight the C: drive and right click on it. Select "properties", "tools", and under "Error checking" select "check now". Check the box marked "Scan for...bad sectors" and let it kerchunk for quite a while (may get a message that you need to reboot first). When done there will be an error log of what it found.
