When i connect my acer 5542 Laptop to a plasma tv via a HDMI cable i have video but no audio. Solution?

I gather you're Windows 7, but when I connect to my Plasma, as you say, you get video, but you also painfully have to set the sound to the tele as default. Just right click the little speaker icon (bottom right) and your TV should be on the list and set as default. When you go back to sound on your laptop speaker you'll have do the reverse. Pain in the ass, I know.

Don't ask me about Windows 8 yet.
