When I open up MS WORD or any other programs or apllications including folders, the white parts of my right hand side of the screen is grey. Please any suggestions? I just got it and unfortunatley in my country Papua New Guinea doesn't have a acer repair shop. I ordered my laptop from Australia

Welcome aboard, Ricardo. This is a Microsoft software problem, not an Acer hardware problem, but I still think we can help.
First, try this:
1
Open the Word document that has the gray shading.
Highlight the text that is on top of the gray shading.
Click "Format" and scroll down to "Background."
Scroll over and find the pure white square. It's usually in the bottom right corner.
Click on the white square. The gray shading changes to white as soon as you click the square.
If that doesn't work, press Shift plus F1. That should lead you to the settings to remove the grey.
Near the top`of your page, there should be a bar labeled "Format." Open it, and from the dropdown menu, click "Autoformat."
Click on Control+Shift+F9. That will sometimes work.
Select the text, Go to Format > Borders & Shading. On the Shading Page, select None.
Select the text then click the right edge of the Highlighter tool on the Formatting Toolbar & choose None.
Scroll to another page and scroll back. This sometimes removes the grey shading.
