I purchased an extended warranty from Acer, received the confirmation, online. It expires 12-24-13. I just realised the last time I sent my laptop back to them for service, they must have taken off my OFFICE 2010 program. I'd installed it previously and used it. Tonight, I was sent something and tryng to open it, it stated I needed to purchase OFFICE 2010, or give my validation code, and would not open--I didn't have it anymore. I was shocked it wasn't there! I have tried calling them, but they say my laptop is not under a service contract, which it is! I tried both my SNID@ and Serial number, and they say neither is under their service warranty. I am mad at this point! What to do???

To be clear, I'm reading that your issue is that Microsoft Office is asking for a product key.
Product keys for Microsoft Office are available through Microsoft.
No number attached to your computer is a key for Office.
There are several knowledge base articles available about Microsoft Office and how to get the product key.
If you need to respond, please include your computer model and operating system.

Thanks, so much for yout time.
I had two issues in my first post. One was Acer couldn't find my exdended warranty, which after two phone calls and quite a bit of frustration, they fixed. They said they don't extend warranties of laptops more than 2 years, even tho they sent me 2 requests for buying extended warranty, which I purchased from them. I had my confirmation from them, which proved they send ... and I purchased.
The other part was that when I send back my laptop to Acer, four times in two year, it HAD OFFICE on it, but when they repaired it, they wiped it off. I hadn't missed it since I don't use or need it to open programs often. I do not have the original disc, with product key. I paid a tech to install and set-up my computer after purchasing it ... and the company is out of business now. After chatting with Acer, they can't do anything, except say they're sorry. I understand ... am just frustrated. I backed-up all my pictures, information, etc. prior to sending back, but didn't save programs.
I have n ACER ASPIRE 5742Z.
Thanks, again. Was just upset I couldn't call Acer, and was finding road blocks and dead ends by the time I wrote the post.

Okay, thank you for clarifying.
I've sent you a private message to attempt to get some of this cleared up.
