How do you download pictures from a SD card on an Aspire 6530?

Check your camera web site for suitable software to automate the process. This would be the preferred solution.

Alternatively, you can move the images yourself through Windows Explorer.

Not the question I asked.  Has nothing to do with a camera.  I put the sd card into the reader on the computer and it doesn't see it.  How do I solve this?

With respect, I believe I answered the question asked!

What you failed to mention was the inability to 'see' a card.

I suspect the problem to be the result of one of three possibilities:

1. The card is faulty.

2. The reader is faulty.

3. You are attempting to read an SDHC card. (Your model only supports SD cards.)

Thank you... reason #3... wrong type of card....
