Dots and pixelation with dedicated nvidia gt 640m graphics

I got a new laptop last week with windows 8 64bit. My laptop is acer apsire m3 581tg. when using the dedicated graphics the screen is filled with dots and starts pixelating.

The bottom pic is with the intel hd graphics.

The pictures would suggest that you do have a video card issue.
