I would like to connect my laptop to my TV so that I can watch live streaming on the TV. The Samsung Smart TV browser is very basic and unreliable, but the laptop is very easy to connect and remains stable when streaming.

Basically, I just want to use the tv as a large monitor.

My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5633 and has an S-Video TV Out port and a VGA port.

The Samsung Smart TV, model UE32EH5300K, has no VGA port. It supports 1920 x 1080 resolution @ 60Hz.

It has the following connections:
3 x HDMI
Component in (Y/Pb/Pr)
Composite in (AV) (Common use for component Y)
PC in (via HDMI)
DVI Audio in (Mini Jack)
One scart socket (in use)

I don't mind having the audio through the laptop's speakers, but is there a simple and inexpensive way to connect the video, please?
