I have an Acer Aspire 5516, Windows Vista Basic 64 bit OS.

I've had problems in the past with the CD/DVD driver and have taken it in to Best Buy Geek Squad (where I purchased it). When I've gotten it back it'll work once and then stop working again. I don't know what the deal is. I'd like to see if I just need to download a driver or if I just have a bad driver (I've had it replaced twice).

Any suggestions would be great

CD drive does not have specific driver .

Please follow the instruction mentioned in the following link to solve the issue.

Installing incompatible printer driver or even Itunes can some time corrept CD drive drivers.

THANK YOU! I will have to try it. I think you're absolutely right, when I installed iTunes that was the first time I started having problems.
