Can i install a LED screen on my Acer Aspire 5738 laptop? Earlier it had LCD screen.

I had some issues with the screen and i got it replaced. the vendor fixed a LED screen, while originally i had LCD screen on laptop.

LED screen is working fine when the laptop is plugged. but when i unplug the laptop is unplugged, the screen goes blank. i showed my laptop to other vendor. he is saying that earlier, with LCD screen there used to be a seperate inverter.seperate connection to inverter was present from the battery. The new LED screen has an in-built inverter. as the other hardware is old, they are not compatible with the new LED screen. that is why i am having problem.

Please advice whether one can install a LED screen, when earlier there was LCD screen.

well the unit was not made for the LED screen so there is a good chance you may harm the Mainboard.
