CD/DVD driver problem

I have an Acer Aspire Z5763. and it has stopped burning discs? it does not show autoplay window and it can`t read a disc.

Please HELP!!!

I have a had a disk drive disappearing act happen on my acer laptop windows 7 also a friend on her hp desktop running vista. I downloaded this small file ran it and it sorted it. Hope this helps.
