I've just bought my first Acer and I'm trtying to create a factory back up stick. But just before download completes onto the 64Gb stick it stops. The on screen message states 'Copying the recovery partition' but nothing else happens. How do I complete this task.

Have you considered the amount of memory on stick versus the amount of memory in your back up system? If the program keeps stopping you might consider reinstalling acer management software. I hope I touched on what I think might be the problem. Peace.

Morning abram,
Thanks for the info, although I'm not sure what you mean.
The prompt boxes for the back up software states the storage media (or in this case a 64Gb usb stick) must be at least 16Gb, so I think I've got enough. I'm not backing up any files or data just the factory default info.
Once the download stops I can see that the stick has on it 11.6Gb.Being new to this I don't really know what the files on the stick do.
I've formatted the disc and tried the back up several times and the result is the same.
Do you have any other advice please.
Thanks Martin

files on the usb would be the recovery media for the system to restore it to factory
