Hello All

I have Acer Aspire 4752G and from last 1 month i am facing the issue with my WIFI.......always drop and then reconnect ..

I am using OS Windos 7 , 64 bit,,,,,,

I checked the Device Manager and have Atheros AR5B97 Wireless Network Adaptor, earlier drivers was old so i upgraded it to 10.0.0.225.....Now it shows me Qualcomm Atheros AR5B97 Wireless Network Adaptor.

I also tried to to un check the Power management...but still same problem...

Please help how to fix the issue.....................or i need to change the wifi in my laptop last option...

Don't know if this can help.

I have a different Acer than you.  Mine has built in BT

Acer Aspire V3-77G-9804   Win8/64 factory

My WiFi was working fine, very fast.  Bought a BT headset.. Samsung HM1700. (Wife has one, works fine on her PC)

Anyway....

When I would enable the BT and stream Music to my Headset... the WiFi would sloooow waaaay down.  Music would stop/start.

I watched my download speed with www.speedtest.net and found when I enable the BT, it would effect my WiFi Speed ... dramatically.

I searched and searched, made sure my BT and WiFi drivers were current... still a problemBluetooth USB 

Bluetooth USB Module -- Qualcomm Atheros Communications   8.0.0.220

WiFi module - Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222  10.0.0.225

I was about to unload and reload the BT and WiFi drivers... but first I tried to simply Disable the BT and WiFi drivers ... then rebooted the Acer..., then enabled the BT and WiFi.... problem went away, streams fine and with BT streaming, the speeds stay fast both upload and download...(23meg down, 25meg up)... so far anyway, all is well.

 UPDATE June 16.

I've been playing more with the BlutTooth... clearly when I connect my BT, it effects my WiFi... After I did above, it did improve, but still when BT is connected my WiFi seems to 'hang' intermittently... meaning the streaming freezes for a few seconds to a minute... I don't have my finger on it, but it seems a driver is not behaving properly.  I will update this if I figure out more.

Hello Dear

Thanks and appreciate your support to take time to look into my issue.

However it's starange to me that after running on latest drivers, i today again uninstalled the latest driver available on net.......i uninstalled the drives and remove fromn my system32 folders....

And again tried to installed from acer website...... and it worked suddenly...............so acer is something god knows....
