    hello, here some precisions.

I migrated Windows 8 OEM towards Windows 8 professional; therefore Windows key was different from initial purchase Windows 8 OEM; with  now Windows 8 professional, there are new  functionalities additional system like hyper-v, Bitlocker, EFS, media center, and other…

I know that Acer had certain software equivalences, free or paying, but I de install them.

I will not like that Acer Recovery Management, out or in system OS w8 pro, restore windows 8 OEM while omitting to restore my new Windows 8 pro.

My goal is to create a backup system, by crushing the initial partition of recovering of 17 existing GB; because this initial existing partition of recovering of 17 GB is now false for me.

    Quest 1

Could I create a factory default disc of my Windows 8 pro by pointing like destination of the backup this initial partition of covering of 17 GB existing, and therefore crushing those, with the tool Acer Recovery Management -> Create Factory Default Backup?

In your knowledge base, I saw that the two destination of the factory default disc was :

One USB key > 16 GB or a pool of DVD/CD.

    Quest 2

If Acer Recovery Management -> Create Factory Default Backup could not crush the initial partition of recovering of 17 GB existing, may I use rather “control panel \ All Control panels \ Sauvegarder \” to safeguard Windows 8 pro, my data, an image system of Windows 8 pro, on another support that my hard disk?

A tap F2, “UEFI: Windows boot manager", before the slash Acer, in reboot phase, would permit me to boot on the DVD system which "control panel \ All Control panels\disc of repair system" creates in previous step.

Acer eRecovery Management acts as a PQDI on older OS. Example : With NT4, PQDI was executed by DOS 7.

    Thank for your response.

The recovery partition is so that you can create recovery media and/or recover the system.

    1) You cannot make a factory recovery of Windows 8 Pro, as that is not the image that was shipped on the system.  The factory image is only what we are licensed to ship on the system.  It is created out of the recovery partition.

You can make the factory recovery USB and then remove the data.  I believe that is an option.

    2) Any additional third party software I would be unable to comment on, as we are unable to support it.
