Dear Friend,
Once Refresh your PC has been done. The software that you installed will be recoved permanently and that can not be undo, but the programs which has been preloaded will be reinstalled back again.

Don't worry.. Hope your system recovery files were not deleted/damaged. Unless you'll have to download and install them manually from the acer web site.
Just Go to http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers and download the "Acer Recovery Management" application. After the installation:
1. From Start, type ’Recovery’ and then click Acer Recovery Management in the list of apps
2. Click Reinstall Drivers or Applications
3. Click the install icon for the item you want to install, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. Repeat this step for each item you want to reinstall.
This will install all the system default/pre-installed drivers and applications.
You can Install your deleted Windows 8 Apps using Windows Store. Log in to your windows account and select "sync my settings" in windows 8 PC Settings.
If you have done a windows refresh, there's a list of uninstalled 3rd party programs that can be found on your Desktop (HTML file named: Apps removed while refreshing your PC) From there you can download and install your lost 3rd party programs.
Hope this helps.![]()

Hi Steve, May I know that your Operating system is working fine? Only you've lost your Pre-Installed Apps and drivers right?
If that refreshing thing didn't damage/delete your recovery partion the original system restore image may still there and you can restore your system by using eRecovery utility.
I Found thatAcer eRecovery Management is now not available to download from Acer. So,
Try this link to download Acer eRecovey Utility ![]()

And if you need to download an System Recovey Disk Image, Try This Link

Hi Steve, You know, The Same thing happened to me last week. No Luck with accessing recovery partitions unless you haven't got a Recovery media.I tried various methods to refresh and reset my pc to its factory settings to get pre-installed Acer software and drivers but none of them worked for me. In My case after this Refresh thing I Lost not only my drivers and software But My WINDOWS too. Ammusing right? After the refresh thing my pc gave me an error said that You have No Operating system Installed! I checked the windows partition using a windows installation disk and found it was empty! I was going out my mind too after this. Somehow I managed to get a copy of Windows 8 OEM installation disk and going to re-install windows. Now My issue is same as yours. I contacted acer too and only hope is download the drivers and softwares from acer website and re-install them. But in you issue, As you lost only pre-installed apps and you are running windows 8 upgrade from windows 7 I encourage you to download Acer Upgrade Assistant tool from http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/upgrade-assist
