I just purchased an Acer Aspire V3 a few days ago, and so far I am less than thrilled with its performance.
First off, the touchpad is really weird. Sometimes it's very sensitive (I'm using Windows 8, and it'll toggle betwen Start and Desktop when I don't want it to), and other times it takes 3 or 4 swipes to get the cursor to move. Has anybody had this issue before? And more importantly, is there anything that will fix it? I'm starting to wonder if I may have gotten a defective touchpad.
Also, I've noticed that this laptop is really slow on the internet, and sometimes won't load even basic pages. It takes several refreshes before it will load, and even then sometimes just has X's instead of pictures. My old laptop never had any issues like this. There has got to be a simple solution! Help!

I recommend trying to run any driver updates that may be available using Acer Live Updater. To do this, press Windows Key + Q, and type Live Updater. The live updater software will display updates available. Select these updates, then click install. For your touchpad, you can adjust settings by pressing Windows Key + W and typing Mouse. Click on Mouse to adjust your touchpad properties. I hope this is helpful.

Driver updates donot work.. I also have a brand new aspire v3-771 and am having issues with the touchpad. Like the other member said, sometimes when you tap it goes right to the page, other times you have to tap hard for the touchpad to do anything. I have a feeling this is a windows 8 issue and new drivers need to be developed to correct this. Or, the touchpads are faulty.. I am going to watch this thred to see what acer has to say about this. Very annoying...
