My Acer Aspire V3-571-9890 is awesome in every way except this one:
It completely shuts down randomly and instantly, then reboots, having logged a critical error Event ID 41, "Kernel-Power". It doesn't say why it shuts down. Or maybe it does - I just don't know how to ask it properly.
It's like it is suddenly unplugged - the screen goes dark, the power button goes dark, then in about 3 seconds it powers itself back on and starts up OK. It has done this a total of four times in the two months that I have had it, with the last three times coming approximately three days apart.
Sometimes it does it when I'm using the computer, and sometimes (like the most recent time) when I'm away for a few minutes. No consistent pattern has emerged.
I'm running Windows 8 that came with the system. I upgraded the 750GB hard drive to a 256GB SSD (Samsung 840 series) and also upgraded the 6GB RAM to 8GB.
How do I fix this? What other information would I need to supply to help track this down?
Thanks for any insight into this disturbing behavior.

I am encountering the same issue as you mentioned above. Any luck?
