I have an Aspire S7-391, which Acer lists as supporting Windows 8.1, but after updating through the windows store, my screen is no longer in high definition. When I check the screen resolution through the control panel, it says that it is 1920 x 1080 as it should be, but everything on the desktop is too big, and all the window frames are slightly blurry, as if it's being displayed at 800 x 600.
I've tried uninstalling the graphics drivers and installing the ones from the acer driver site, but they don't change anything. Other issues have popped up as well, like the track pad and touch screen problems that have already been posted on the forum, and I've been able to mostly resolve those. However, this resolution thing has me stumped.
Has anyone else encountered this? Have you been able to fix it?

Go into screen resolution, then click "make text and other items larger or smaller". I have mine set at 125%. See if that helps.

On the display menu what is your change only text size set to, etc.? I have all mine set to 11 or 9.

Just curious, What happens when you hook your S7 to the external monitor?
