Sony TV will not recognize the VGA port. TV does see an old slow Dell laptop so TV and cable are OK
Fn F5 does no good.

Hi Bodusroad
It may be because the Aspire One has a different resolution from your TV. Try adjusting settings on both the TV & laptop to see if this makes any difference.
If you can, connect your Aspire One to an external monitor, just to rule out the VGA port failure. It will also be worth trying a different VGA cable too.
