Hi there, I have an aspire one D255e working on Windows Starter and for a couple of weeks I have issues with my battery. The orange light blinks in an abnormal manner. The battery only charges when the computer is switched off. When it is switched on, battery is not charging. More, I cannot work solely with the A/C plug: it is as if the computer does not recognise the presence of the plug when it is swiched on. I tried to update the bios and it worked for a day. But the problem came back and this solution is not working anymore. Do I have a problem with the bios? Should I restore the factory settings (would it do any good)? Thank you for your help! CapeCod

Sounds more like you either have an issue with the power board or the charger has improper output voltage. You should contact Acer and have them send you a charger to be sure. Short of that the unit will likely require repair.
