Aspire M5 481PT touch pad not working

I purchased the Aspire M5 481PT before Christmas, and the touch pad as stopped working.  I have tried the function F7 to no avail, the touch screen still working, but not the mouse pad.  I have checked but not see any driver updates for the mouse pad, any suggestions?

It sounds as if you have attempted the items I would suggest on the forums.

 

If these have not worked, the only remaining resolution may be through contacting your local service center.
