Recently had to replace my HD on my Aspire 8930g and bought a fresh copy of Windows 7 to go with it. Downloaded and updated Acer Arcade but when I try to play a new blu-ray movie it seems stuck in a loop of 'A critical update is required for playback' The red 'wait' disc spins and then nothing happens.

Try using VLC. It works great for playing movies.

VLC will NOT play blu-ray discs, did you read the question or did you just open your mouth to cluck?

Blu-Ray error:

This Blu-Ray Disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it.
