Aspire 5253-BZ492 Default factory settings were accidentally loaded, now needs password for hdd, how would I

possibly know that?

A HDD password is a BIOS level password and has nothing to do with the default settings of Windows. If the default settings of the BIOS were enabled, it would not remove or create a HDD password.
