i can't seem to find where i can buy it

You cannot get the LCD cable seperate for this unit. You have to buy the entire LCD and it comes with the cable.

You have to kidding right ? The LCD cable is the worst construction I have EVER seen, this **bleep** is made to break. Just by friction alone. If they did'nt make it to break then they have idiots constructing their hw architecture. Right now my LCD is ok the same with my PC - And you are telling me that Acer does not sell the cable ??? Are you sure about this ???

Mate. I feel ya ..!! They have definetly made this cable to break in couple months. I mean purposely for sure. That's why you cannot buy the cable outside.( and by the way it's true you cannot buy just the cable, it comes with the display. In my case I don't need a display , the whole lot cost you nearly 270$au. In gumtree you can buy near new full unit for 500 $ au.) this is hopeless. These Crazy , stingy beep beeps..! Never buying acer products again.

Sorry, gents, but the cable is available as a seperate part ...

At least there is a part number for it (#SM30HS-A016-001) and there is a source in the Netherlands at $125 (plus $39 shipping).

I have posted a seperate thread seeking a US source for this part, so watch that thread and see if someone fesses up.
