Acer Wireless Keyboard SK-9660 that comes along with Acer Aspire X3960 is not working

Acer Wireless Keyboard SK-9660 that comes along with Acer Aspire X3960 is not working, but the wireless mouse is working.

Already tried replacing it with fresh batteries (tested them with a TV remote to make sure they are powered),

already tried uninstalling keyboard driver from device manager and then replugging the USB thingy into USB port,

but the keyboard still will not work.

Anyone has any idea how I can fix this? There doesnt seem to be any 'connect' button on the keyboard either, so I really have no idea what is going on. How can I get new drivers and stuff?

The keyboard and mouse should come pre-paired and ready to work.
