Acer S7 SSD Upgrade - boot times

Hello,

I have a 120GB SSD in my S7 and want to upgrade to a 250GB.

The current SSD is very fast at starting up, about 3 seconds to login, is this because of UEFI?

How would I reinstall Windows 8 (USB?) to ensure that I maintain the same very fast boot times? I ask becuase I have experience with another windows 8 machine that is much slower at starting.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Windows 8 caches for fast boot up when closing down.  doesn't do a complete shutdown like Windows 7 or before.  this makes it much faster on boot, especially when using SSD.

That's not quite what I was getting at. I've one PC that's not fast at starting Windows 8, and one that's very fast, because it takes advantage of UEFI. I was wondering how to do a clean install taking advantage of UEFI, not the regular boot system.
