Hello,

I have an Acer E350 Liquid Gallant (Android ICS 4.0.3).

I think that the phone always thinks he is in an other country, because my network operator is Telenet (Belgium) and this is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) using the Mobistar network.

For every call I make I get the message 'The SIM card that you are about to use is now roaming. No local SIM is available now. Would you like to continue?' This is annoying. Also I can't properly use the phone in my carkit.

I can't find a setting to disable this message.

Does anybody knows a solution for this?

For data roaming, you can disable it under Settings > Wireless & Networks > More.. > Mobile Networks.

For calls, it should be available under SIM (Disable Roaming warning, if I recall well, but not 100% sure).

Of course, the risk is that you will also get no warning when switching to foreign providers - especially for data connections, that can get costly

For the carkit, no idea... could it be related to the roaming warning, or do you get messages on the phone when you try to pair the phone to the carkit?
