    What computer do you have?

What operating system is on the system?

What version of Acer Backup do you have installed?

There are several options that come to mind.

What are you attaching to the system that Backup Manager is "attempting to backup to" ?

Have you attempted to stop Backup Manager from loading on boot?

Are you using it for anything else?

Any memory. I just put a SDHC card in and Acer BackUp wanted to start,

Boot, what?  I'll boot it right to the moon !

    C'mon, one of "several" options?

If it is not in background it will not update backup once a week!

Any Answer/solutions before I delete and use a Good product?

p.s.  I leave the USB Flash/portable Drive that has the backup file I use connected. Weekly backup update works...I think

Please note that I did ask if you were using Backup Manager for anything.

If you would please detail what jobs you have set up in Backup Manager that may help us determine what is occuring.

It is very likely that leaving it running at all times and inserting media that the job recognizes as removable and then attempts to start a backup.  It is not because of AutoPlay, as that is automatically disabled in Windows 8.

    Options:

    1. Stop the attempt in Backup Manager when it pops up after putting in removable media.

    2. Only run Backup Manager once a week when you want to make backups.

    3. Use another piece of software that is more suited to your backup needs.
