My Acer Aspire Notebook came from the factory with 1GB of RAM memory. Reportedly, it can be upgraded to 2GB. When I openedthe memory panel, I find two memory cards installed, and no open slots. However, I cannot identify the RAM of each card,by the markings on them. The top one that I can readily see has this identification sequence on it KNG120B02373629056. I suspect that both cards are the same size, but that doesn't really tell me the size of each, unless they are each 500MB. One question is, do I have to replace the cards with two matching 1GB cards, or can I simply add one 1GB card to gain some memory?

Hi Kenward42,
I am upgrading the RAM on my TM 4750 to 8GB from the factory installed 4GB. In order to fit this amount in the slot provided I will use 2, 4GB DIMM cards.
Hope this helps,
Dan

you have sodimms of 512mb each, take them out and look on the back it should say[at least on mine anyway].You need sodimms of 1024mb,found some on ebay for $9.49 each, same speed DDR2 PC2-4200. if you bought just one i think it would work but i wouldnt guarantee it. I think you could guarantee it with two matching cards. and for $9.49 apiece your not risking much. free shipping too.
