An Acer A500 will not take a charge past 15% and will not unlock. Any solutions?

I do not have any idea why the system won't unlock unless it is due to the low battery life. If you cannot get it past 15%, you may want to contact your local Acer service team to see what options they can provide.

I have an A501, I find that it will not charge fully if there is a bit of dust or fluff in the charge port. Just blow air in the charge port while the charge port is facing the ground.

Also, the charger doesn't charge well if the charge plug in the port is loose.

As for not unlocking at 15% battery life, android devices automatically ask to be charged at 15% or lower battery life, so you may be running into the automatic battery saver in the android OS.
