I cannot get an Acer A0531h Chromebook to hook up to my WiFi adaptor. Keeps trying to get net address.
The WiFi light blinks and when I I turn it on it shows the icon on the screen as ON.
I have installed other usb wifi adaptors/antennaes and get the same results.
There is nothing I see in the boot screen that shows that the wifi is disabled or not
What can I do to get wifi going ????
Please help

Sorry - I do not quite understand your response.
This Acer is using Microsoft XP (not a Chrome OS) and as with all other XP units I have , you can install a DLink/Linksys/... wireless adaptor (what I called a wifi adaptor) and it works.
In this Acer, I installed the device properly, they show the wireless symbol but IT IS NOT CONNECTED.
Something is trying to get a network address but it ends up with a 0.0.0.0 address.
I have re-installed the Atheros AR5007EG Wirelwss Network Adaptor driver - no help
Any other ideas?
Thanks
