I have an Aspire 5570 and have problems with making entries with the keyboard online (Chrome Browser). I'll be typing something and the curser will move to a different spot on that page. Sometimes it will even jump to a page I've never visited.
The mouse also malfunctions much the same way as the keyboard. The curser will move a direction I'm not directing it to go. The mouse is a cordless model, however I have tried a corded optical mouse and things are still the same.
I have installed Windows 7 on this notebook. This notebook originally came with Vista installed. Are these issues related to a different o/s than original?

Honestly, it sounds completely like a touchpad/mouse issue.
Have you turned off the touchpad on the system?
Does this occur if you have disconnected the external mouse?

Tommy,
Thanks for your reply! In this situation, I (personnally) only use this laptop when I scan for maleware/virus' etc. It's my wife's machine mostly, and so to test it I'm waiting for my wife to use it for her purposes, that's when it makes mistakes consistently. Esther did replace the mouse (wireless) because the other seemed to be acting up. Before the new wireless mouse, I supplied her with a Microsoft wired optical mouse and the issues were still there I asked her if it is misbehaving since the new mouse and she told me she hasn't really used it much since. I explained to her that I have a plan of action (your suggestions) but I need her scrutiny to make a behavior judgement on it. I'm sorry for the delay, I'll keep sugesting for her to use it to speed things along. so we know sooner than later.
Sincerely,
newtech

No worries. Just let me know as you have the time to test it.
