What operating oystem do you have on the notebook?

Is the drive listed in Device Manager?

What have you tried to do to rectify the issue?

Windows vista.
Drive is recognised in device manager.
Ran troubleshooting, and apparently drive is ok

Aspire 5735 with an 8X DVD-Super Multi double-layer, running Windows Vista.

Drive is seen in Device Manager and checks out OK under the hardware troubleshooter.

What type of media are you having difficulty with?
