i brought acer v3-571g laptop (core i5 ivy brigde 6gb ram 2gb vga)it is pre installed with windows 7 premium.
i want to upgrade to windows 8
i have bios 1.06v.
when i use acer assitant tool which is recommended while upgrading to windows 8 as mention in acer website.it is suggesting me to upgrade bios to 1.13v.
i am not sure whether i should upgrade my bios as it may brick my laptop.
can anyone suggest me have any1 updated it bios for upgrading to windows 8? or can i upgrade my laptop to windows 8 without updating my bios?

This is my suggestion:
If you are using an Upgrade Disc, update the bios to 1.13
If you are using a full clean installtion disc, then update the bios to 2.07
The reason there are bios updates, its for better system performance etc.

but is it safe to update bios?
it is suggested by acer upgrade assistant tool which is used while upgrading to windows 8.
and i also want to know if i update my bios from 1.06v to 1.13 and if future i want to come back to windows 7 will i face any problem?or can this bios update can stop me from downgrading back to windows 7?
