Acer S3-391   After upgrade to W8 the sd card reader and bluetooth do not work.  I have downloaded the appropriate card reader driver(Driver  6.1.8400.39030_20120615) but the installation just hangs and does not complete.  Re the bluetooth I have a choice of Atheros or Broadcom  I know not which. I have tried the HWVendordetection but the software does not find the hardware.  What next?      Should I upgrade BIOS - I currently have version V1.21 date 26/6/12?

Card reader - Install Windows 7 driver: resolved my issue

Bluetooth - Look underneath your machine, you will have the stickers for wireless, bluetooth, etc. It will tell you wich bluetooh is in your machine.

For better overall system performance and stabily, update the bios to the latest bios update.

Now have sd card working.   Didn't need to install W7 driver for card it worked after BIOS upgrade.  However cannot get blue tooth to work.   Have decided from sticker on the back that it must be Atheros as is a combined WLAN bluetooth module.  The WLAN is Atheros so I assume the bluetooth must be as well! Have tried 3 installs to no effect although I can now turn on the bluetooth via the F3 selection.

Can you see your device on another unit though? If not, make it discoverable and pair it.
