Acer Aspire 5250, Webcam was uninstalled. I downloaded from site and try to reinstall but getting message that no webcam device detected. What doI do?

try going under the Acer E-recovery management and then reinstall the driver from there. ![]()

If that does not work, then the web cam may be malfunctioning. I'd call tech support.

Also check in device manager, if you dont get "imaging devices" in device manager...dont even bother reinstalling software because its a hardware problem, get acer to replace the webcam.

No in device manager theres no imaging device and there use to be there I've seen it. So I need to contact Acer tech support. I keep getting flags UNKNOWN DEVICE and when I try to load driver or udate them there can't be found in the laptop or from Acer, Windows, Microsoft, or anywhee else. Thanks guys!!!!

i would say Acer support would be the best answer if you’re in warranty.
